Our Story

Cornerstone Church of Myrtle Beach began with a vision to plant a strong, gospel centered church that aimed at seeking the glory of God in all things. The church was to be built on three core principles of Gospel, Community, and Mission, with Jesus himself as the chief Cornerstone.

With the help of two sending churches, Open Door (Raleigh, NC) and Cornerstone Baptist (Florence, SC), 4 couples from Open Door Church set out to accomplish this very mission and vision. In 2009 the church began meeting in homes in and around the Carolina Forest area. The Lord was faithful to continue to bring growth and to establish a body of faithful members to our church. Continuing on with more than 10 years in the Myrtle Beach area, to this day, Cornerstone remains a committed body of believers who love the gospel and live by it. Cornerstone believes in building true biblical community and living on mission for Jesus. The Word of God is our authority and Jesus is our Lord.
